About

Sarah Holst is a northern California native who grew up spending many days playing on the beaches of Carmel and riding horses in the hills of Monterey. After graduating with her Masters from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and meeting her husband of now 40+ years, she moved to Sacramento where she and her husband raised their family. Following her life-long career as an educator, Sarah has poured herself into developing her skills as an artist. She now spends many of her weekends in the Sierra Nevada Mountains hosting family and friends at their cabin, painting, and enjoying nature.

The beautiful and dynamic scenes of the California coast and peaceful lakes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains are often reflected in Sarah’s acrylic landscapes. Sarah’s use of radiant colors, joyful movement, and warmth in her paintings captures the essence of California. She has been a local featured artist in Sacramento, commissioned for over a dozen paintings, and continues to expand her library of work and expertise. Sarah has been painting for over a decade and never plans to stop creating beauty in this world to share.
